Testing a Traffic Generating Strategy
For the last while I’ve been devouring information about how to make money online. I’m getting more and more comfortable with the ideas involved and understanding how everything works together to drive lots of traffic and monetize it.
The key that I hadn’t really taken advantage of in the past is the expansion of a web presence. That is, to have a number of sites on the internet that link back to whatever you’re promoting. The more sites you have the bigger the funnel to drive traffic to your monetized site.
Before I go on and develop a real business strategy around these concepts I want to first use it to help drive more traffic to this site. That way as I see the results of the approach it will hopefully keep me motivated.
It also will be have a positive result even if it doesn’t work. Let me explain. If I have a Squidoo lens that directs traffic to this site, and lots of traffic goes to it, then I should see people coming directly from that site to mine. If the Squidoo lens is a dud, and gets no traffic then at least Google will see the link back to my site and hopefully give my site more karma.
There’s still a lot to learn about this approach to internet marketing. The important thing to note is that it all depends on the actions that you take. Everyone wants passive income, but you can’t be passive and lazy and expect it to land in your lap. Passive income is only passive after you’ve taken the hard steps of setting it up.
Take Action!

I’m thinking of starting a squidoo lens too. I already signed up awhile ago but have not made the time.
There is something I don’t understand about Squidoo though. How does the traffic get to your lens in the first place in order to get to your site?
Also a good article on traffic I recently read:

The key with a squidoo lens is that you have to make sure to target the page to specific keyword phrases with some SEO techniques. Being a site like squidoo helps because google already trusts the site more than a new domain somewhere.
Google will index squidoo fairly regularly, and if you have an optimized page, it can show up in google results rather quickly. That results in organic traffic from google. (or other search engines)
If you do not mind me askiing, what is a squidoo lens and where do I join?

Traffic traffic and traffic is what is mainly needed to monetize the blog. It increases the PR of a website. I am curious to know what blog template you use for this blog. Very clean look. And… some very informative posts too.
thanks. I designed the theme myself.
