The positive results I’ve been getting from my Stock Secrets site has kept me focused on attracting more growth to the site.  I’ve proven to myself that the concept has potential worth pursuing further. 

The immediate goal is to get the site up to a sustained 200 visitors per day.  With that in place it will be possible to more accurately determine conversion rates before taking the site to the next step.

Despite the fact that the site has already made money, if there’s too much competition in this niche and the traffic is too hard to get then the site will probably fail. Because stock information is a very competitive niche, there’s not many long tail keywords that I’ll be able to use to move up the ranks in Google search results.  This means that there’s going to be a lot of work involved in getting traffic to the site.

To start with, I’m writing posts for EzineArticles.  They review all entries manually to keep out the junk which increases the quality of everything on the site.  It’s also a site that is highly favored by Google, so hopefully it will help to increase the pagerank of the site, and attract more visitors.

My first ezine article is Quantifying Technical Stock Analysis, and my second is waiting to be reviewed.

It may take a week for Google to index these ezine articles and adjust my ranking in search results.  In the meantime I’ll keep writing more content, and creating a funnel to drive traffic.
