BacklinkSpot beta

I just found this great tool for locating sites that use the don’t have no follow on links.  The no follow tag tells search engines to ignore a link, which means that the linked to site won’t get any additional juice in the search engine rankings.

A popular way to build backlinks to your site is to find blogs that allow comments.  Post a good quality comment so that it doesn’t get flagged as spam, and attach a link back to your site.

By default blogs built on popular engines like Wordpress have the nofollow tag on all comment links.  People have to take the very deliberate step of installing a plugin to get rid of the nofollow.  As a result of the many blogs out there only a small number of them don’t have the nofollow tag on comment links. It can take a while to find sites that will be good for backlinking on.

BacklinkSpot is a search engine that filters out sites that will be good for getting backlinks from.  Their index contains only blogs that don’t have nofollow.  That makes it an awesome tool for boosting your rank in Google.
