Just some background first off, Matt Warren is co-founder of HalOtis with Colum Furey. He graduated with an Honours Computer Science degree from the University of Waterloo in 2005. Originally from St. John’s Newfoundland, this bright 20 something is hoping to get his foot in the door of many lucrative industries and quickly turn HalOtis into a global phenomenon.

HalOtis was born while on a 4 month work term. The original concept was to develop robotic technology where we could leverage my programming skills with Colum’s mechanical engineering background. That proved good to get us excited about building a real business from the ground up.

After we realized just how difficult it would be to start a profitable robotics company the website grew stale, and interest waned. All hope seemed lost. But Matt was determined to have another go. He re-focused the business on first producing enough passive income to support paying for one full-time employee, himself. This veered HalOtis into a completely separate industry.

Matt Warren is passionate about programming, specifically for the web and maintains interests in stock markets and investing, space, and Linux. He is also is a big ideas person, enthusiastic about developing technologies, and making an impression on the world.
